European Mentoring & Coaching Council
Professional excellence in coaching and mentoring
EMCC UK Membership
CoachDirectors is an active member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC UK).
EMCC UK is an independent, impartial and non-profit making organisation. In the UK they currently have around 1,500 individual and corporate members, including individual coaches and mentors, public and private organisations (some with a varied number of in-house coaches and mentors, others who buy executive coaching and mentoring services), training companies, academic institutions and research bodies.
The five-year strategic plan of EMCC UK has the following objectives:
- Supporting organisations to embed high-quality coaching and mentoring in their management practice
- Raising the quality of mentoring and coaching for the benefit of society
- Developing a learning and innovative UK community of coaches and mentors
- Making European Individual Accreditation a natural career step for professional coaches and mentors
The European Mentoring & Coaching Council UK has also set its sights on tackling confusion in the marketplace by building further on existing alliances between professional bodies. They also want to restore the balance between coaching and mentoring within EMCC UK activities so that mentoring is not sidelined.
These aims and objectives are strategically aligned with our own philosophy and target the same corporate/organisational audience.
